Here's a link to a pretty impressive article on Bill Krauss Jr aka Mr. 60,000. Apparently he's been keeping a fishing journal since 1953, recording each fish he caught, where he caught it and on what fly.
2,500 fish a year is average lately, and his one-day personal record is a ridiculous 205, ha!
All 60k were released.
