Back to the gunnison gorge

Me and some friends decided to hike into the Gunnison gorge on Friday night. We got to the trailhead at sunset and then proceeded down into the canyon by the light of our headlamps. The next morning we woke up to blue skies and 80 degree temperatures and the fishing was good. Had the fish eating some big pat's rubber legs, copper johns, and prince nymphs. But by about 1 o'clock in the afternoon the wind picked up and we were getting gusts around 60 miles an hour. Needless to say it became difficult to cast, so we turned to drinking and hoping at some point the wind would die down. The wind did not stop and so neither did the drinks. None of us got much sleep due to the fear of our tents blowing away with us inside. We got up the next day and the wind had not quit, We fished for an hour or so and then hiked back out of the gorge. All in all it wasn't quite the trip we had planned, but it was beautiful scenery, some fish were caught, and some beers were had.

And that's why a true BFCer brings beers under all circumstances.

Contingency plan.
