Read a couple reports of some linesides in the Southern Maine area yesterday. Took a look at the tides and found that it would be low just before 9 pm. Low light and a falling tide has been good for me in the past so I thought I'd give it a go. Ol' Barefoot Schoen took to the water with me.

What an evening.

Brought the two-hander with me for its virgin trip to the salt. I'll give the first person who names that fly correctly a buckskin.

Nothing fishy.

I almost went down there myself last night, decided to shad fish instead. Guess I made the right call.

Is that the rat snake tied by the famous Pete G. from Falmouth, MA?

The shad fishing's continued to be pretty good - I haven't been completely skunked in a couple of weeks. Not hot and heavy, but a steady pick of fish.
