Them smelt be runnin' up't Bowdoinham. Git yerself a sixer a' Newkies, a tin, couple'a buds an' yer golden. Jus' like them smelt be when ya git em in the pan!
Ahhh yes. The good ol' Cathance. Some of my earliest memories are smelt fishing with my dad. The first few times we were likely the only sober ones out there. Lately, it's been a different story.
I think Chubby Leighton's camps used to be near Riverbend in Bowdoinham and I still remember the first 3 or 4 times we either got skunked or brought up 1 or 2 fish. Then one day we pulled up something like 65.
I'm hoping the BFC takes loads of kids to Bowdoinham this year. It's a quick and dirty way to have a blast and get tons of kids interested.

You guys shoud definately do it Chris. We did it our senior year and it was a complete success. Reserve like 5 shacks and make it happen.
