Huh??
So I was in Bean's last night dubbing around. An employee in the fly fishing department says another employee recently netted a 29 inch brookie somewhere in the Western Mountain Region... No further details given. The man seemed not to be screwing with me and he appeared to be mentally sound. Has anybody heard about this?

Dude, there is a guy in there that tells me each time that he has greased a 28" Brown.....maybe its the same guy....a gift for exaggeration perhaps. A 29" Brookie, if I am not mistaken, would easily break the state record. I am going to Beans in an hour or so and will investigate this claim.

It's a splake, but I've heard the rumor as it being a brookie.

I've seen the pics, and it has been confirmed to be a Splake. To be perfectly honest I'm not sure how or why the rumor began that it was a brook trout because the thing looked exactly like a Togue. Those guys at Bean's will tell a man anything these days.
