been tying flies lately. exploring things in the vice world. big baits. big fun.

the sparsity is a bit down, i would like to cut out a bunch of the bucktail in future ties.

there ain't really any good fly shops around here, so i use what hooks i can get at the tackle shop. eagle claw 254 SS 5/0 i believe.

nice ties...I think I could swing up some giant metal in the spring on one of those flatties.

no names yet old man, no names yet. but the fourth one down can be rat camo. cause thats just what it looks like. rat camo.

and a steele will take a fly like this? haven't heard much of this...but there ain't nothing like the action of a "flattie". most of these have a bit of modification i did to get it swimming really fishy.

way much fun.

Pete I will gladly pay money for a couple versions of that pink and purple one. They will look beautiful during the squid run.

sure thing kieth. that fly is based off of the "RLS Stripermoon" i don't have all of the colors which the recipe calls for, but did my best.

you want all those colors, or a bit of variety? luckily for those of us who enjoy playing around with colors, squid can take on any of them!
