Dry Fly Season

Had a strenuous day of mowing grass and picking up trash, so I went fishing. There has been all types of insect activity on the Taylor river lately. Lots of golden stones, drakes, and caddis. Today was no different. I started off just nymphing a bit because that is what I had rigged up from fishing the other day, got a few takes but did not land the fish. The fish were not rising but I threw on a tandem dry rig and then the fun began. As I walked up the river, I stopped at every slow pocket area, and in just about each one it was a first cast hookup. I think I made the right choice.
